The Press Statement the group released reads:
More than 20,000 children still die needlessly every day. Today, November 20, we mark the Universal Day for Children set aside by the United Nations in 1954. While countries mark it on different days, the idea is to encourage all to continue protecting the rights and welfare of children.
As lead ambassadors of the soon to be launched Billion Children Movement, we commend all countries and organizations especially the United Nations (UNICEF), World Vision, Save the Children, Red Cross, Kindernothilfe, SOS, The Global Fund, World Bank, bilateral agencies; media organizations at the forefront of reporting children’s issues (CNN, Al Jazeera, KTV, Nickelodeon, Sky Angel, Disney, IRIN, Kaiser and others) and the many foundations dedicated to protecting the child. Cr3w Teflon, our fans and our supporting company, Globesolute, are dedicated to the push to reduce child and maternal deaths and suffering to zero during this decade.
We dedicate the “Children’s Anthem” to children around the world.
